There is a slight front-focus, but I don't think that is the case.
I'll show some pics later today. On the light objects on the pictures there is like a "glowing" effect.
Hm... just throught about that - can not-using the lens hood cause such "glowing" effect?

Not that I know of. Are you using a lens filter?

No filter is used.

That 's what I mean.
On the first - the man clearly is not sharp. And on the second there 's glow... and, again, no sharpness.

Both pics are at 4.0; 250 mm and 150 mm respectively.

Something is seriously not right. My DA 55-300 produces far sharper pictures than these wide open.

Look at the horrible glow around those old ladies legs. If that isn't a function of poor PP, or slow shutter speed, I'd say you have one very sub-standard 60-250.

The both look OOF to me.
The glow... no idea, bring it back.
