Oh I don't doubt that. I bet someone will snatch it up before I can afford it in a few years though. That was the only reason for my comment about buying yours instead lol. If I had the money I would buy it right now.

You wouldn't want to pay what it would take to get mine away from me.

Wow, that's pretty neat. I would not have guessed you could still find one new.

I have both .. Bought the 60-250mm new but always wanted to try a 100-300mm f4 and one came up on Ebay for a sensible price (at the time when they were going for a lot more new than now). The idea was to keep the best performer.

Couldn't bring myself to sell either

You would want to call them before ordering, when I was looking for mine they always came up in searches but didn't have any. I ended up getting a nice one from AU on ebay.

I was just going to say the same thing...they may have it listed but probably don't have it to sell you and will try a switch tactic. I used to own this lens and keep kicking myself for selling it especially now with the higher ISO capabilities of the Pentax K-5. It was a REALLY sweet lens! I have used the 60-250 on a couple of occasions now and think it is a nice lens but too much overlap with my DA* 50-135 though. The Sigma 100-300 is REALLY appealing to try to find again although most of my funds will be going to a K-5.

Crazy that it's that expensive in Pentax mount.

I got mine for $500 shipped for Nikon...

There's no way to convert it to Pentax from Nikon is there and still retain AF, metering, etc.? Or would that be more trouble than it's worth?

Are you sure it's the EX DG version, there was an older model that goes for less.

Yeah, there's no way that's the same version. It went for the same price in all mounts (or, within $100). There were also some slower, variable-aperture versions.
