yeah.

$30, including the service to take off the dented ring and buying generic rear & front caps. You get the idea how much I really paid just for the lens. Please don't tell me I overpaid for it.

No, I'm pretty sure that if you got the lens for less than $10 that you didn't overpay Very nice find btw.

Correction: I meant dented filter, not dented ring.

This is another why I love Pentax: It's not just about the photography, it's also about the the antics thrill. Browsing thrift stores, garage sales, classifieds, and Craigslist. I tell you, I see those places differently now. Old clothing smell is extra bonus.

the seller must be pretty old.

Yes, you paid to much. it's a garage sale, so it should be $5 bucks.

That's a once in a lifetime bargain. I can't go thinking I would have ever found a K28f2.0 for that. I paid $225 for my A50 f1:1.2 a year ago when an ebay seller was dumping 50 or 60 of them at best offer. By the time I finished dumping everything that came with my K30 f2.8 and A35-105 f3.5 I had made money on the lot and still have the lenses. The zoom remains stable at an asking price of about $140 but I can't believe what people are asking for the K30 since I got mine a year ago. I'd say $100 for the K135 f2.5 was a pretty fair bargain as well. I can't complain.... much...

Reminds me that I passed on a seller selling K135 f2.5 for $115 two years ago. Along with Takumar 55 f1.8 and 50 f1.4 for $29.99 each (with body) in a thrift store. So much opportunities, so few cash... regrets are painflul....
