18-135 not looking sharp

Anybody else having this issue. I've tried it on my 100 super, 20 and 5. None of them look sharp. Shot some at 5.6 up to 11 and 60th to 500. Got it just before going out of town. Used it while hiking, but just don't look as good as the other lens I used. 10-20 or the 120-400 sigma or the old 18-55 kit lens. Some on tripod with sr off and 2 sec delay, some hand hold with sr on. They all look the same.

When I get time I was going to makeup a len test sheet and see what happens.

Uh, it's probably got BF or FF issues. Most likely nothing is wrong with the lens...

Isn't BF or FF a problem with the lens (if there is no problem with other lenses on the same body)?

Yes, that's right.

If the camera has the focus adjustment such as is present in the K20, K7 or K5, then some might not call it a "problem" with the lens.

Yeah, some of us aren't so lucky to have those bodies though! I'd call it a "problem" with the lens, that some users can easily correct themselves. I guess the rest of us have to ship stuff back to pentax. Anyway, this is a bit of an academic discussion
