Originally posted by gadgetnu I'll have to remember that. It will probably be around Christmas before I can get one (I just got the K100D two days ago
). This is my first ever DSLR and I've got a lot to learn. I'm also on a tight budget, so this lens looks pretty appealing to me. I'm coming from a super-zoom P&S which had a 12X zoom out to 300mm (film equiv). I really like having that "reach" for sports and wildlife shots. Thanks for the info!
I just posted some shots from the baseball game in the sports gallery. (I figured since I asked there to be a sports gallery, I should contribute)
All of these are using the Tamron lens and a very high ISO. I am happy with the lens, considering it is less than a 1/3 the cost of other lenses out there. It fits my little old birthday budget for myself. I don't know what my next lens will be, so I will probably cool it, or try one of those manual 50mm lenses.
This, too, is my first DSLR. It is fun!
