I wish to obtain a quick-release plate for each of the following lenses:
Pentax 60mm-250mm zoom and Leica APO 180mm f2.
Must I obtain QR plates which are specialized for each of the above lenses or will generic QR plates suffice?

You need the plate that fits your tripod. The threads on the lenses are the same.

I am currently using Kirk stuff with my Acratech ballhead, so those will work.
I still have, on a non-Pentax body, an RRS plate. I just tried it on the Acratech ballhead and it works, no problem.
