Tokina 193 19-35mm AF zoom: brand new, $50AU.

Aaaah, picking over the ashes of closing camera stores for fun and profit.

I felt immensely ghoulish, but by god I've been eying this lens for yonks. Down from ~$300AU to fifty bucks. Box, hood, bag, caps. Everything's still in the plastic wrap. I asked the owner how much for it, expecting something like "$100," but she just said "Fifty."

It's a very well made lens, for a budget lens. Metal mount, metal barrel, plastic filter ring (which I prefer.) Front element rotates...but due to a very clever design, the filter ring doesn't. Feels well-made. Beats the crap outta Sigma crap.

I stuck it on my MX and expected to see some severe barrel distortion in the viewfinder, but it's fairly mild.

Can't wait to get some ultra-wide shots with it, but I'm cooking dinner.

Also picked up a Marumi CP-L for $30.

I got one of those earlier this year. Wasn't new but it's a good performer for sure. Works very well on my K10/K20 too. Congrads on your new treasure.

I'm really surprised at how well built it is. For a sub-$1000AU lens, it's really well done. Love the metal A button on the aperture ring. It's solid all around, not loose bits.

The best bit is that I've been using it on my MX, and the focusing ring is very, very well damped for an AF lens.

I've been looking for a decent UWA for a while, and this seems to fill the spot nicely. For the type of lens it is, the distortion is very well controlled.
