First step, destroy a spare Pentax and salvage the lens mount, and remove the lens locking pin as well. Then drill the locking pin hole out to 2.5mm.You now have a drill jig
I use a hand drill for a very good reason, a power drill could easily grab and drill a far deeper hole that you need, a simple hand drill gives you full control. These pictures are posed, I got my wife to hold the lens when I actually did the job.
I also covered the back of the lens with cling film ( Saran wrap ? ) to keep the swarf out.
The finished job, with a neat 2.5mm dia hole 1mm deep in exactly the right place.
I did a load of lenses in about 20 minutes the other day, the sacrifice of the ME Super was a small price to pay.
