tamron 60-300mm f3.8

hi i have above lens w/tamron adaptall for my pentax. this infinity mark does not line up with the indicator mark. the infinty mark overshoots the indicator mark. anyone knows who can fix this?i liek this lens

I own and love this lens--it is a fantastic performer. To be honest, it will probably be cheaper to just pick another one up. If you do not need the Adaptall mount, they can be found for $50. Good luck & let us know how you make out.

Many long lenses have a bit of "overshoot" at infinity to compensate for thermal expansion/contraction of the lens barrel under extreme temperature conditions. Especially so in the Adaptall SP line which was designed to accommodate ALL body types via adapters.

So long as you can actually focus it at infinity it's beneficial. Just another 'quirk' from the era when human involvement was the only way to focus a lens and design engineers took that into account.
