Which lens to buy 17-50mm range 2.8

Need help in making a decision on which lens to buy. I have the Tamron 70-200 2.8, but looking to add a second 2.8 lens in the 17-50 range. I photograph alot of indoor sports, sometimes need to have a lens lower than the 70MM on the tamron. Any ideas or suggestion please??

One of the most frequently asked questions... My suggestion for you is to search this forum using "DA* sigma tamron 50" which will give you more than enough results.

You could also consider the Tamron 28-75/2.8 to pair with your 70-200/2.8. You might find the 50-70mm range more useful than the 17-28mm range for indoor sports.

Depends how close you are from the action.
I have both Sigmas 18-50 f2.8 and 24-70mm f2.8 (non-HSM)
and to me the wide end of the first one (18 to 24mm)
is much more useful than the extra 50-70mm reach of the second.

If you still have your kit lens 18-50mm give it a try before the
game to see if the range is right for you before buying a faster one.
