back focus on FA* 24

Hi all
Happy new year

I was testing my FA* 24 (bought used) and noticed that I need to set the focus adjustment on the K7 to +5. Does anyone else have a similar experience? Itested with both a focus chart and with news print and found the sharpest images were at +5.

Regards
Nick

Then that's where you should use it. I would test it with a real subject in good lighting though.. If it doesn't work for you on your K7, I'll be happy to provide a home for it on my K5 (that lens is on my short to get next list). Be more worried about it when No adjustment will get you there. +5 is nothing in the grand scheme of things.

Let's see some photos!

I'm still with my K10D and FA*24 needs +50 adjustment in debug mode.... so quite similar to your +5 (considering K10D's adjustments go in 10s and not 1s)

Thanks for the input. It seems that AF adjustment is typical with this lens.

Request for images... The AMNH image (Man) is take with +5 AF. The other image is +3.
