start a thread in either of these areas would be good though i would go with the first , and post the pictures with it, along with a description (ie yashica 50mm f2.8 ....)

Thanks, not sure about the M120/2.8, but the K version is quite good. It makes a good portrait/short telephoto on film.

Douglas Im done with buying camera equipment and my collection is listed below.

Phil.
Not trying to sell anything. Just noticed that you had almost only K versions and an impressive number of them from 15 to 1000mm, thinking that you might have been persistant enough to get them all, but was too lazy to check myself.
It would be just awesome if you could some time post a pic of all of them together!

For some reason I think it's bit longer than 50. I'll go with M85/2

All of my daughter is sharp + a good piece of the log. That's more than a 50 would give at f2 at that distance I think.

Edit: All my current Pentax or Takumar glass is on my profile...I've only ever sold one Pentax lens...of course I sometimes borrowed a lens...anyway, the K50/1.4 is not on the list, and it was not the lens for these shots.

Could have been, I sometimes think their bokeh are similar, but it wasn't the 85/2.

Edit: Remember this is film = full frame, so lenses will have a wider angle of view than on digital APS-C. The camera was the Super-A, btw.

That's why I thought it was 85, but by your comment I'm judging it's even longer. I'm on mobile and mobile skin doesn't show signatures so I'll have stab in the dark, 135mm?

It's hard for folks like me who never shot film, basicaly I'm working with 1.5x ratio reversed and try to guess, the perspective looks very similar to 50-77 range on APSC IMO so on film I guess the lens will be 70-135mm long, looks like stopped down... Do I have at least the range correct?

135 was going to be my guess too - so stabbing at K or M 135/3.5

Lovely shots whatever they were taken by. I like this game - learning a lot about lenses I've never come across before.

Thanks!

135mm is a bit long. Pentaxor is close to the actual focal length in the two first pictures. But you are all assuming it is a prime...

Same lense, different focal lenght:

We have a winner!

SMC Pentax-A 35-105 f3.5 (constant), my favorite A generation zoom. Often produces close to prime standard. Heavy and well built.
