Yo, gents!

What're we waiting for? I wish I could keep the ball rolling, but I've already posted all my gear to show here (at least the interesting part of it - you donna wanna try guessing DA50-200 or FA28-105).

C'mon!

Zig

I am guessing this is the Samyang 14mm. Sharp and but kind of flat, not like the old ultrawides...

Although my copy seems to have more distortion and less CA. Maybe yours is an earlier copy, not UMC??

By the colours I'd guess Sigma. 10-20 or 8-16

Yep, OK I will jump ships - the third pic seems to be wider than the first, so not a prime. Sigma 10-20mm would be my guess - the last one is not sharp - I doubt you could get 8-16 so out of focus.

My guess is Sigma 8-16.
I don't have the Sigma 10-20, and haven't study the photo from it.
These photos look like 8-16

It could also be Sigma 10-20/3.5 but I have no idea how the images of that one differ from the older version.

Several of you have already guessed it, it was the Sigma 10-20mm F4-5.6 EX DC HSM!

All of these photos were shot at f/4 or f/4.5, which is wide open and NOT a sharp affair.

The last photo in particular is showing off the 10-20's soft corners wide open and my ability to put the focus at 2 feet and not catch it until it is too late!

These are all very early captures with this lens, I now shoot it at f/7.1-11 almost exclusively as it masks most of the optical unpleasantries.

One advice for 10-20:
If you are shooting between 10 and 14mm forget AF. Put MF @ 1m, set f8 and don't worry everything from 50cm (@10mm) or 75ish cm (14mm) to infinity will be in focus.

Regards
P

No, I own that lens and recognized it's outstanding contrast and unique color rendition in the first photo. The K 28/3.5 has the most distinctive color rendition of any lens I've ever used.

I could never have guessed the lens from the second photo.
