It is not 90mm. I meant that it is a tele macro, that far Daniel was right, it actually only goes to 1:2, not 1:1. It is not labelled macro, but close focusing. Enough clues now.

Well, then it must be the Vivitar 135/2.8. Don't see any other candidates in you sig.

Correct answer!
It is not the sharpest macro I have, but I like it a lot for more "artistic" macro shots. It was surprisingly difficult to get hold of (for a decent price), bought at the forum.

Now someone else.

this really isn't fair considering all the cameras I own. So I'll give a small hint, this digital image is not from a Pentax,Nikon, Canon lens or camera.

ROFL summar, it's from a lens that is considerably faster than f/2

Then I guess it could be a Summilux 50mm? Although to me it looks closer than 50mm (but that could just be me).

you got the 50mm part right, Incidentally this image is from a Leica M9.

Right, then it is the Noctilux - I was wondering if the image was shot in very dim light.

(Of course it could also be the Voigtlander Nokton - would one be able to tell those apart in an image like this?)

you got it - that image is from the classic Leica M 50mm f/1.0 Noctilux @ f/1.0 - I use an ND filter to bring the exposure under the Leica M9's 1/4000th shutter speed limit so I can use it in daylight. To be honest in daylight images taken wide open with lenses with apertures of f/1.2(or faster) in broad daylight, look fundamentally wrong - the only times you typically see DOF that shallow is in substantially lower light levels.

I was thinking of the Noctilux, but I found the image quite unsharp for a Noctilux! It rather reminds me of my Canon "dream" 50/0.95 lens...

Cheers!

OK, here's a new lens. I don't give any clue, but it should be easy to guess:

Cheers!

The noctilux won't win any sharpness contests, it is certainly much sharper than the Voigtlander nokton 50mm f/1.1 - the newer Leica noctilux 50mm f/0.95 ASPH is much sharper than the previous f/1.0 version but it has less character.
