lol looks like I am not the only one keeping an eye on this one.

Yes I noticed too the mount picture doesn't match, hope the seller come clean of it soon.

In Japan, Hong Kong etc. the new AIV units were selling for ~ $950 USD. Occasionally, some of the new ones were showing up on ebay.

That is not a "Buy It Now" price, that is only an opening bid with still three days left. It's going to be a lot higher by then, especially now that everyone's talking about it!

Last time i checked (and that was more than a year ago ) A50 1.2's were made to order for $US 695.

The eBay seller noted by the OP has confirmed that the picture is of the incorrect lens, and is looking for the correct one to post. He'll have to hurry, though, because the auction finish isn't too far away.

The seller just posted a link, but I guess doesn't know how to embed it so it shows up as an image in the body of his description.

Looks to be in good shape! Good luck Aussies! Great lens!

I don't know what $300 AUD translates to but the last A50 f1:1.2 I watched, went for US$575, Used.

The Aussie dollar and the US dollar are basically at parity at the moment - won't be for long though, with the Qld floods devastating the economy. GDP, and thus inflation and the dollar, will all be affected soon...

But all the best for the auction guys.

I put down a max bid of 500 and I got it for 500.
1st time ebay auction for me

now the long wait for the lens
another auction of the A50 1.2 ended a few mins later and the winning bid is 531us

It was listed on their co jp site. Now its not. You could try to drop them a line with a query about it, they might still make one for you ( slim chance i know )
