Hi Freddy, If you are having trouble focusing with the M 50/1.7 then I would suspect that you will have the same problem with the Tak 55/1.8. You will have problems with any fast lens, if you use it wide open, Its not the lens - its the aperture that you are setting it to.
What I would suggest, and I am suspecting that you are trying to use it wide open all the time (f1.7) is to stop down to f4 or so. What this will do is to widen the area that will be in focus, there by providing you a better opportunity to have your images come out in focus.
Here is a depth of field calculator that you can play around with to see how it works.
Now what is going to happen is that with the aperture moving from f1.7 to say f4 or f8, your shutter speed will slow down. You can keep the shutter speed up by increasing the ISO speed.
