DA 300 2.8 & Teleconverter likely?

Hi,
I'm thinking of buying a DA300 f4 but would prefer a faster lens. Does anyone know whether Pentax is intending to release a 2.8? Also, any word on a teleconverter - I gather there has not been a new one released for sometime and the older ones are not easy to come across.

Hi,
I have had a Pentax 2.8 300 and now I have a DA*300 f4; the rollout of the K5 resulted in a 2 stop advantage (I mean a 800 iso shot is equivalent of a 200 iso on the K7) vs the previous K7 or K20 and compensate the loss of 1 stop caused by the slower lens. On the other hand DA*300 IQ is stellar, you can use it wide open.
What is rumoured is a longer lens than a 300, like a 400f4; of course it will be an expensive and heavu lens

My guess: If they sell enough K-5 we will see longer glass.
