35mm f/2.4 is it worthy? show me, please

Hi, I was considering the several options to buy:

that is:

D35 macro
FA35
DAL35
or even
DA40

since DAL35 is the cheapest... does it have anything of a fix?

IQ?
blur?
sharpness?

I've seen Frank's comparison, but I still cannot decide...

would you, those who have it, please post some pictures or direct me, where I can find more pictures taken with DAL35

or it would be perfect if you'd even show real life comparison shots..

so show me DAL35 f/2.4 capabilities..

thanks

There is a formal review of the lens that has been done here, you could start by reading it, I'm sure it will answer your questions, at least in part.

thanks for all the resources, I'll figure all else.

You're welcome. Striking that it seems to be the same lens optically as the FA version. Both are described as 6-in-5 but I am seeing 6-in-4 ?

I will hold on to my 35/2.4 Flek but would be interested in a comparison :-)

A sample

This is straight out of the camera. With a single light overhead, 60 watts equivalent CF. Shot wide open on a k-x at ISO 1600.

The lens gets enough light to auto focus, lock, and capture a relatively sharp photo at 1/50 shutter speed. Can't ask for much more than that for < $200.

I personally feel that the DA 35mm f/2.4 is a lens that punch well above its weight and price. They might not be the best examples but here are some pics I took with this wonderful little lens.

Nice photos in this thread. This one below in particular says a lot about that lens + body combo, good results at that aperture & ISO. Like the bokeh, too:
