I have a couple of Takumar lenses I've been using with my Pentax Film SLR - SF1

I also have a DSLR Canon Rebel XT and I'm wondering if it is possible to use the Takumar lenses from the Pentax with the Canon.

It's obvious they do not have the same size connection because it doesn't fit straight up.

Are there adapters for this issue? What are they called? If so, will the Takumar work properly once attached to my Rebel?

Hoping to save some money and multi task lenses!!

Yes it's possible- all you need is a universal m42 adapter for the canon eos mount.

Never used a Canon but the genuine Pentax M42 to K mount works fine.

I've used them very successfully with Takumars on a Digital Rebel.

I recommend getting an adapter with the focus-feedback chip as it will be a great help in focusing (focus confirmation will beep and the light will light when focus is achieved.)
