Best long (affordable) telephotos?

That sounds like a good price to me, although I'd research it first.

Just looking at the Pentax on-line store they want 799.00 for it new.

The Sigma 70-300 APO-DG runs a bit over 200 new and other than not being super fast in the focus department it gives a nice sharp picture even at 300 and has a 2:1 macro ratio from 200-300mm.Bang for the buck is excellent on this lens.
