The Phantom Takumar 100mm F2: Is it really worth this much?

On a local internet lens market, a few minutes ago emerge this lens. I know that this lens is sort of a 'phantom', even in our own Lens Database don't have a picture of it. Here's the pictures that the seller provides:

The lens seem to be in good order, have none but old age marks.
Is this lens is really worth the $800 price tag?

It would make a nice addition to my preset lens collection which so far is

takumar 200 F3.5
Tele-Lentar 135F2.8
Vernon Edonar 105F2.8

I like presets, even over later Super taks and K mounts. they are a pleasure to use.

This one has a unique aperture that would be very interesting for OOF bright highlights. It is similar, but more exagerated than my Vernon Edonar 105F2.8

I would buy it, but it costs more than my entire screw mount kit so far. That is saying a lot consiering

24mmF2.5 Tamron
28mmF2.5 Vivitar
35mmF2 SMC Tak
50mmF1.4 Super tak (version 1)
50mmF4 SMC Macro Tak
58mmF2 helios
85mmF1.9 Super tak
105mmF2.8 Vernon Edonar
135mmF2.8 Tele-Lentar
135mmF3.5 SMC Tak
200mmF3.5 Tak - preset
Plus M42 Asahi extension tubes, 15-30mm Asahiu focusing helix, tarmron MC 2x Teleconverter, Sologor 2x Teleconverter.

Beautiful lens and a nice picture taken with it. I see the one in Ebay and the price is high. If you can afford it, it may worth even more in the future. Keep us updated if you get it.

to me, this seems wide open, I would love to see partially stopped down, that's where the OOF highlights will really be different, but at that price, I think I would pass

I've checked the exif with PhotoME, the sample pic is already edited with PS, but yes it is at wide F2.

If you don't buy it, I'm very interested in it I would be glad to use it and bring more info on it on my site (I did not add it to the site, because there was no proof of its existence until yet, at least that's what it is said in the ultimate screwmount guide)

I agree--those old presets have incredible bokeh stopped down.

Looks good for sharpness though, and I'm sure by f/2.8 it'd be razor sharp with a creamy background.

$800 doesn't seem unreasonable to me for something that rare and still useable on so many dslr cameras.

If it were in my local market, I'd pick it up.

But I'm crazy.

Interesting.
Get it if you are a collector.

Just don't ask how often you are using 100mm @ f2, or buy 2 pcs of 85mm f1.8 if you really need @f2. My LBA is not triggered by looking at this lens, or may be I m curred...
