While at Arches, I did not take the trail leading up to Delicate Arch and instead took another that led to a point about 1/2 mile away. I took several pictures with the 135 and they came out ok. But a lens closer to 200 or greater would have shown greater detail. I found the same with some shots I took in Canyonlands, the Petrified Forest and Black Gunnison. You're right to point out that a WA would be most useful in places like these (and it was.) But for some long shots, a 135 just didn't have the reach I needed.
