Lens Rental Question

I just put a hold on a Bigma for my trip in April for 2 weeks and was wondering if the lenses come with filters for protection?

Thanks

When I rented a Pentax 18-250 the summer of '09 it came with a UV filter on it.

Some of the cameralensrentals even require you in writing to keep the filter on. The last one I rented (DA15mm ltd) had such a cheap, nasty UV filter removed it immediatly after testing outside and seeing how much flare it added verus one of my own mid-grade Hoya clear filters. When I discussed that issue with them they said it was to protect the beginners and they expected the experienced photogs to use a better one or remove it anyway. Bottom line of this suggestion is if you will need a protective filter see if you can borrow a decent one if you don't already have that size.

Right. I think they just don't want you to return the lens with a deep scratch across the front element...
