Thanks.

I like the idea of getting bugs and the 70 is not really up to it (well that and my making a huge noise moving the tripod scaring them off).
you say bugs? then 100 is good, but 150mm is definitely better.

speaking of which, I use a 1.4 TC for my macros as of the moment, whenever shooting distance becomes a necessity like inaccessible areas or critter/animal concerns. as far as image quality is concerned, I don't find anything that is worth complaining. images still turned out great and met my requirements.

Well, I have to agree. I ha(ve)d qiute a list for "santa" too. I think that some of that will come true, but it is free to dream.

I went on such an LBA debauch last year that I'm thoroughly satiated on that front. But I will probably be picking up a K-5 some time in 2011. I also feel a slight case of FBA (flash and filter BA) coming on, but with a few modest purchases, I hope to nip it in the bud.

LBA
DA 40 Pancake
Nice 70-200 zoom (can't decide Sigma or Tamron)

But I'll be selling my DA* 50-135 2.8, so that will help offset the cost.

CBA
I thought I would get a K-R, but all of the "low-light FF" chatter has me nervous, so I may just hang on to the K20D. I'll be following the K-R forum with interest to see how that story plays out. I think the K-R with the DA 40 pancake would be a sweet rig...

I am hoping to add a few more K series lenses to my collection. I just bought the 200mm f/4 with the hood and a hood for the K 85mm.

I was thinking maybe a 35mm.

DA* 55, just because it would be nice to have one lens in my collection faster than f/2.8.

After that, I think I might be done with LBA forever. I can't think of anything major missing from my current lineup, except perhaps a fast long telephoto, but I never really shoot anything my 55-300 can't handle.

K-5 is a certainty. Just waiting for it to feel like the right time. Maybe a genuine Pentax grip (already have a knock-off).

Lens-wise, it would be the Sigma 85 and the FA31. Probably have more use for the 85, but more desire for the 31. Kinda neat how many people still have the 31 on their "buy" list. I would guess that it has to be the most "aspirational" Pentax lens ever made.

The 135 situation.

No, I have owned probably a dozen 135mm's, but never an AF one of any type on any mount. I really like the 135mm FL on aps-c. I have been very, very close to pulling the trigger on an FA and F 135 at KEH a couple times, but always stopped myself.

My current M and Super Tak 135s are pretty good, frankly it's tough to justify an upgrade just for AF there.

If Tanner goes crazy and starts selling his lenses for silly prices I'm jumping on the F 135, or if Pentax comes out with a DA, DA* or Limited 135 f2.8 I probably won't be able to resist that.

Later this summer, a DA 15mm Limited (thanks to that guy ^^^^^), and a K5 to use it with. Maybe just the DA 15. And a DA 70 Limited. Maybe a DA*55 too. Or maybe just the DA 15 (thanks to that same guy above ^^^^^^).
