Pentax had to find a way of continuing the unrivalled legacy of the Limited series by creating the DAs for digital bodies, knowing that the FAs are hard to beat. I think they've done a good job with the DAs, adding quick shift and the even sleeker designs keeping the identity of Pentax primes well recognised the world over.

Ed in Georgia's right nevertheless - I picked up a 77 from him back in 2008 (and I see he's bought another to replaced the one he sold me) and I've never been disappointed. It's a forever lens, which I'm certain all the FA and DA limiteds are.
