Wondering if anyone has any knowledge or owns one of these. The seller has a 100% rating and provides a lot of detail. He offers a return policy. Just curious what your thoughts are.

It could be similar to this; https://www.pentaxforums.com/forums/pentax-slr-lens-discussion/4132-ricoh-xr-...4-5-300mm.html maybe minus the APO lens, and here's another link; Spiratone (Sankor?) 300/4.5 preset T-mount::Manual Focus Lenses. The Spiratone in eBay ad seem to be in very good physical condition but the price seem quite steep. For that price or less, you could probably find a SMC/Super Takumar 300/4.0 in similar condition.

That lens is worth less than $50. I wouldn't pay over $30 for it. Wait and you'll find one for that. They aren't THAT rare or that good either. Performance is nowhere near the Ricoh. The seller has for years been getting high prices for inexpensive lenses through clever ads.

What's your basis for completely dismissing this lens on? Googling for either the Rikenon or Spiratone 300/4.5 yields little tangible information - do you have any personal experiences with either of these lenses? I agree the eBay seller is painting a very rosy picture about the lens along with too high price but if I could find one for $50.00, I would buy it in an instant even if I have a glut of the same focal length lenses.
