LBA Hit me hard!!! It's good story I promise

I move from SC to CT and then to PA last 3 years and my photography kinda took a big dip b/c of busy work and cold weather (I know :P).

But I'm about to move back to NC..

I start getting into it again last month and I been going back to my forum and been reading and checking out post..

I got my finance into pentax 4 years ago when I met her. She now shoot K10d and I have a K20d. She's still on her kit lens and her other lens is the FA 50mm f1.4

I been looking at this forum... I was debating to get her the Tamron 16-50mm 2.8 b/c I heard of all the great review -- but it was too loud and you know.. It's still not Pentax.

Soon it's our 4 year anniversary since we meet. So I pull trigger.. I bought her the 15mm f4 limited (she loves street photography). And I bought myself a 16-50mm 2.8...

I wanted this lens so bad -- I currently have 16-45, 50-135 and 50 f1.4 (that she gave me for last year). I figure I can give her the 16-45 also to replace her kit.

Omg! sorry for the long post but it's a surprise early anniversary present for her and It's tearing me apart not be able to tell her right now. I suck at keeping surprise for her. It'll probably arrive monday or tuesday from Adorama. She's going to FREAK!!!! and i'm going to steal it next time I see her. She has an account here but haven't visit in a while. Hopefully she'll stay away until she get the surprise in the mail next week!!

UPDATE: I got my 16-50mm!! zomg! GEZUS!!!
Unboxing (shot with 16-45mm and bounce flash)

16-50mm first initial few shoots (800 iso f2.8)

She'll get her lens on Wednesday and then I can confess everything! Then she should post some pictures too
Hope you guys enjoy the initial few shot. I can't wait till play more!

Tamron makes a 16-50? I thought it was a 17-50.. Only a mm difference I know, just wondering if I missed something along the way.

Welcome back and good luck with the surprise.

The only problem is that over time, she will have meaner and badder gears than you do. And she may not even let you borrow them

Me! I convince my wife to stay with her Canon P&S.

Enjoy that excellent lens. Your fiancee will definitely see the 16-45 an upgrade, and hopefully she won't mind getting a hand-me-down.

Ummm, if you finance is a Pentax user does she not read this forum?

If so she probably has a pretty good idea by now that she has a new lens.
