Tokina 28-70mm F2.6-2.8 ATX PRO
Hi folks, I've been looking at getting a more general lens to go with my current setup of Sigma 10-20, Pentax 35mm f2.4 and the Tamron 70-300, I've just about decided that picking up a Sigma 17-70 is going to be what I get but I've noticed the Tokina 28-70mm F2.6-2.8 ATX PRO lens and I had a couple of queries.
Firstly what are peoples impressions of the lens does it produce good picture quality? I noticed that the reviews over at Dyxum seem really good albeit in a Sony/Minolta mount however I imagine it would be almost the same in a Pentax Mount.
Secondly what would be a good price for this lens as I'm not sure if the vendor is charging a vastly high price or a good price.
I know that its slightly longer at the narrow end than the Sigma 17-70 I was close to ordering but it never really bothered me before when I predominantly used a Minolta 28-105 on my Sony A700.
Also I believe its built like a tank which is something that I really like in a lens (have previously had few Minolta Beercans!)
Thanks folks.
