Just to show that more than geraniums are doing well this year. Lady slippers are more abundant than either M or I can remember.

Nice bokeh and compostion. The flys on the faces bother, I'd have photoshopped them out, and also maybe put a "catch light" in their eyes.

blossoms and pencil art

I found this thread earlier today. I know I won't be as prolific as pepperberry farm and Riggomatic and others whose work I admire here, but the thread got me outside with my A 100/2.8 macro this afternoon. Here are three of the images I made.

A. columbine
B. bleeding hearts
C. pencil sculpture (Ferrules holding erasers in place used to be pretty interesting. Times have changed. One of my wife's uncles made this sculpture decades ago, and I finally made photos of it today.)

Thank you!
Post processing is something i rarely use the last years - sometimes i do with ordered photos, but nearly never for my own delight...

Those are cool cones, even if confined to conifers. Careful camera composition has captured a curious collection of them. I'd say I'm sorry to post such nonsense - - but I'm not.

D. Obermann, I understand what Fenwoodian means about the eyes, or at least the eye on the right of the frame, but I think the flies belong there. They ARE a bother, not only to the human eye, but to the horses themselves, and to humans in general. That's life. Photos of animals without flies or other distractions have their place, for sure, but I think those flies are part of your photograph. (Then again, I like photographing decay, which I often find more interesting than the peak of beauty, so I may not be the one to listen too. . . .)
