pepperberry, that image of the mimosa stamens is gorgeous. The others are, too, but the mimosa really jumps out at me.

X-post from the "Projector Lens" thread ... a Leica Colorplan-P 90/2.5 slide projector lens on a Fujifilm X-E1 ... via a set of extension tubes to hold the lens.

The SMC Pentax-F 35-70mm 1:3.5-4.5 can make some really nice bokeh in close up. Randomly shot while testing stop down behaviour of the Pentax K-5 while using live view.

Random lens of the day is the Cosina 100mm 1:3.5 mc Macro (There is an FA version of it, but this one isn't AF)

three concert photos, three old Pentax lenses, and bokeh. . . .

Three images from my gig this past Wednesday evening at the S-Barn in Spring Green, WI, where a local (Madison, WI) performer, Jake'O, played the first set, and Rod Hamdallah, currently out of Atlanta, played the second set.

All three photos were made with my K-3ii; the first photo was made with my K 24/2.8, not a lens I'd normally expect interesting bokeh from, but in this case, it delivered, thanks to the rather close-focus on the "dance zone" sign.

The second photo was made with my K 85/1.8 either wide-open or at f/2.8. Hard to keep track of that data during a gig, especially when one's shooting Jake'O, who in this image is playing his turquoise Ibanez hollow-body, his bass player in the background along with posters from previous S-Barn shows.

The third photo is of Rod Hamdallah's bass player, an image made with my newly acquired M 120/2.8, probably wide-open.

(If you're interested, you can see more of the photos from that night--from me and another photographer, Rob Steffen (two full-frame Canons, each with a big ol' zoom)--on the BarnSessions Facebook page's albums sometime next week after Connie, the photo maven, posts them.)
