Great shot! That's a beautiful Swallowtail. Last one to stop by here for a visit was pretty beat up. Looked like she had a couple of close calls with hungry birds.

Bokeh and blur, not enough light for a shutter speed that could stop the wing motion.

I like the wing blurred in this shot conveying motion. Amazing you got the focus right on a flying butterfly. Great capture.

The focus on the closer butterfly's face is close, but not perfect, either that or it is slightly blurred. AND, getting anything was hit-and-miss-and-miss-and-miss. I took maybe 15~20 images of those two flirting with each other, or the male chasing the female if you prefer, and only a couple are worth sharing.

I like that blurred one too. Sometimes there's only one good shot from a session of many but that always beats no good shots!

Four other images taaken chasing that pair of butterflies around. There are quite a few more that have not suffered the DELETE button, but you get the idea. A combination of missed focus and/or blur made almost all of them unacceptable

Although I wouldn't mind the cooler temps I'm not quite ready either. Of the 4 ABMs in the yard this is the first to show a red leaf.

I'm on the same page as Walt. When I saw this my first reaction was " Wait. It's that time of year already?"
