Nice lichens on that post, too.

Funny to see such weathered wood held together by a torx screw. . . . Sure are better than nails, though!

Thanks for your comments Nath. When my wife and I bought this extra lot beside our house, it was a jumbled mess with piles of old wood and split rail fencing. We decided to use the old weathered fencing as accent landscaping pieces, and that is where this short fence came from, lichens and all. The man who does most of my landscaping work is a big fan of wood screws and uses them everywhere, and to good effect.

Medium format bokeh

Not to beat a dead horse too much or to be too boring, but looking over all my shots today with the Pentax 645 135mm f 4.0 LS, I see that this little lens is seriously making creamy bokeh. Here are a few more samples. I think I will keep this lens on the Z for another day or maybe try it on the K-1 just for the halibut.

That's a really appealing set of candid people-pictures.

The bokeh here is too blotchy and the foreground plant in the plane of focus is too spindly and complex to make a really satisfactory image. But I'm posting it anyway

A couple images from a few years back. I made these for invitations to my son's birthday parties in 2011 and 2012. The Narnia (lion) photo was made with my K-7 and DA 70/2.4 at f/5.6, while the Clone Wars (that's Cody on the right) image was made with my K-7 and Kiron 105/2.8 at f/5.6. (Sigh. Those years, those parties and invites, are long gone. . . .)
