That's a intriguing composition. Lots of visual interest.
Thank you. I had seen the centre of the rose receiving lots of focus(literally) and attention in most pictures, but was drawn to the texture on theperipheral petals. By the rendering the centre a bit soft (thanks for thebutter bokeh of the Carl-Zeiss) this one turned out to be a head-turner. Thankyou for your thoughtful comment.

Slam-dunk Bokeh, wonderful. The flower is rendered and seperated beautifully from the background, captivating.

Thanks for that suggested id. I've never heard of "king of the meadow" and will definitely check it out in one the the stack of wildflower guides on our shelves.

The bokeh and detail is thanks to another CZ lens, 100mm f2 Milvus (Canon ES mount) put on a Panasonic GX8 via a no-lens adapter.

Cheapo vintage Cimko MT Series 28-80 F3.5-4.5 @ 80mm F4.5. Like the bokeh of this lens, the rather pathetic glare resistance not so much. Only good for cloudy days or in the shade, really...

I really like the color and the soft out of focus area on the second image. Wonderful work!

That's a handsome pooch, lovely Bokeh. I'm sure the dog doesnt mind the focus-miss as long as you give a nice tummy rub and a treat for being a gooooboi.

Thank you very much. It seems that you and I are doling some of the same kind of work. Yours are really great, and in thumbing trough the images, I sometimes mistake your work for my own.
