Another new "Franken-lens" ... S.F.O.M. 100/3.2 projector lens stuffed in an emptied, dead T-4 lens body (M42) on bellows. First test shot with K-5 ...

I think this new lens to me (SMC Pentax-A 50mm F2.8 Macro) has a pretty creamy finish to it.

That lens has a "wow" factor, Kerrowdown!

What's this lady's name?

You must have read my mind, I was just literally thinking about a name for her, I only got her by accident late this morning.

I'm thinking about maybe my "Short Lady", what do you think?

How do you get a lens this nice by accident? I'd love to have accidents like that!

By accident I mean I didn't go out with the intention to buy or even the knowledge that it was there in the shop.

Ah. I understand that well

I don't know about "Short Lady", the images she delivers are beautiful and sharp... almost dangerously sharp... in a femme fatale kind of way

I think you may well have just named my lens for me.

With your prior permission, I'd like to call my SMC Pentax-A 50mm F2.8 Macro “Femme Fatale"

Great thanks, that's her named, she can now take her rightful place along side the other "Ladies" in my life.

There's only a few Ladies in my life, my "Mistress", "Good Lady", "Special Lady”, “Femme Fatale”, “Sweetheart” and "Lady luck”, the others are just wannabe ladies.

Why thank you, she will bring a bit of break from my more usual genre of photography.
