Thank you! Funny thing, initially I did try to open the shadows in the flower, and after spending like 30 min switching back and forth between this version and the one with bumped shadows I went for this one in the end

I can give it another try, though.

I understand. Sometimes opening the shadows changes the rest too much!

That was my first zoom lens. Mine died 30 years ago, after it got a little moisture in it on a canoe trip and developed mould. It had it's own little universe growing inside it. I could still probably find a couple of images i took with it.

More projector lens madness today at Poitiers' botanical garden.

Here the Leitz Dimaron 100/2.8 ... inserted into the de-glassed Pentacon 135/2.8 body.

All "stopped down" to about f/4 or F/5.6 ...

Here's another 100mm F2.8.
After having a little outing with this FA Macro the other day, I just can't leave it at home.
If I could only have one lens it might have to be this one.

Many thanks H ... This one is a bit difficult to get something sharp out of it ... even with an ad hoc "aperture".

I need to re-work this rig, and the overall effects were kind of artsy. Cheers, J
