Lovely! Lovely! Loveliest! (One comment for each photo.) These oldies never cease to amaze. I particularly like the last one. Looking at it makes me feel am watching a Disney animation. Your images are always wonderful.

Returned to the tree safely after his photo shoot.

Got a Copy of One of the Lenses in My Bucket List

This is the first ever test shot from my new toy: the Tokina ATX 90mm f/2.5 macro. This gem showed minimal use and still had the gold JCII quality control sticker in pristine condition. The original owner said she used it for a short time for her field research back in the 80s. Since then she had never used it for anything else as she was not into photography. By the way, it came with a matching macro extender and the original hard case. All for Cdn $75!!!

A dandelion with Revuenon 55mm f1/1.2, wide opened. First a 100% crop, next some resize+crop, and a little enhance at exposure. Last, the same dandelion, but this time not wide opened, but I don't remember he value of the diaphragm.

Wow! These are all incredibly beautiful. But the prima donna is the second one. It must have cost you a fortune to get this kind of lens.

My Second Date with Ballerina Bokina

Had the chance to take out at daytime my new love interest, the Tokina ATX 90mm f/2.5, which I "stole" last night (see my posting above). My second date with this ballerina didn't disappoint. However, she was front heavy on my K20D and fuzzy with focusing. There is still much to learn about her. Except the last photo, the rest were taken at f/2.5 in the shade. I need to hit the online reviews and see some more dating tips.

Thanks John for the comment. Yes, it was a serendipitous find on craigslist. The seller lives just about 2 kms from where I reside. She just wanted to get rid of some "old camera and lens stuff." I knew an excellent copy of the lens + extender could cost up to US$500 or even more if shipping is factored in. So when I offered her $CDN75, I was prepared for some pretty nasty comments. But as one of the gospels says, "Knock and you shall find." So I did : )

Not very much. It was an exchange. Someone wants an old telescope that I don't use it anymore, and gave me this lens. And I was very curios, because I have a friend who also have one like this, and he doesn't stop praising it's virtues. It's a nice lens, but this kind of photo, with manual focus, is still not my kind. As far as I know, the price on SH market is not very big, 3 - 600 Euros.

Now I saw your photos, and your flowers are also very nice.
