Bingo ! A great thrift store find at lunch time today and for only 5€. A Tair 11A (135/2.8) with 20 blades. I was so excited that I left work a few minutes early to shoot some very rapid tests at the nearby botanical garden before the sun set and the park closed. Here they are and shot at f/4 ...xpost

Will play,

Completely untouched from the camera. We were shooting some pictures for a book proposal. (crafts, crochet hats).

Will play,
I like them, but post in a smaller size! I have a 24" monitor and they still overwhelm my screen!

If anyone has any 85mm 1.4 shots, I'd love to see them? Any brand of lens.....I'm interested!

Best Regards!

Best I can offer is a 50/1.4.

I like it! Try to hold on to your girlfriends, they make great subjects!

When I had my little studio I didn't have to worry much about bokeh....the backgrounds could do the job...and so could post processing...but they were never as appealing to me as natural bokeh from a great lens.

Backdrop bokeh....

Regards!

These all look great! I don't have an 85, but here's one from Takumar 135. This is old, and I think posted in another thread somewhere.

Nice bokeh Tina....I think I know that guy!

Here is another ordinary dove I shot early this morning....the Bigma gave some decent bokeh on this one.

Spanish dove bokeh may be better than Whitewing bokeh?

Many thanks JP, and congratulations on that wonderful Tair 11A find. And thanks also to everyone else who liked my S-M-C Takumar photo.

I don't have a 85/1.4, but I have a K 85/1.8, and it's super smooth in the bokeh department, so I guess a 1.4 could be even smoother. Here's one from the long gone days when I thought it worth (c) signing photos.

Well, that's a fine shot....I doubt any 1.4 would have done any better!

Yeah....and I only have about a million others to compare with! If you guys aren't tired of dove shots.....you should be!
