I got it hung and this is my first shot with the new background leaves.....I need to adjust them a little. I think they will be better at f6.3 instead of f8 as in this shot. May take some time to get it all situated?

I finally talked this squirrel into posing on the Cheater Branch so I could test it out. He was hesitant...said he is afraid of heights.

Got out the ladder and adjusted the leaves, soon a dove showed up on the Cheater Branch and I got a better opportunity for a test shot of the new bokeh.

Not bad to my eyes? f6.3 does help too.

I like 'em Steve! Yep, it's getting close now!

Here is one more with my new background leaves...it almost has a Christmas look to it....certainly a late Fall look?

f6.3 smooths out the bokeh over the f8 squirrel shot.

Regards!

Thank you Rupert, glad to receive likes from a bokeh master
And I wonder if we can consider bokeh some hexagonal lights like this:

Messy messy bokeh. The 55-300 is not really know for bokeh especially at f10 and when used with a flash extender.

Always great to see a happy face in this world!

For anyone interested in becoming a cheater......Here is a shot of my new leaves for background bokeh. The foreground shows the two Cheater Branches screwed onto a tree trunk....it is about 30 feet from my office windows. The leaves are hung from a wire strung between two trees and are about 50 feet back from the Cheater Branches. It took a few adjustments to get the leaves hung in the right line of sight for shooting out my windows and capturing the bokeh.

I think I will be able to add some other colors in the mix of leaves from time to time for variety.....

Anyhow, not everyone is into cheating....but me and Otis like it!

No prize bokeh here, but there may be a prize inside that shell?

Yep, there sure was!

Regards!

Neat idea Rupert and the results surely are nice. I have nothing but houses by me everywhere so there really is not much I can do about that.

The squirrels have invaded, it's a conspiracy.
