Merry Christmas to everyone here! I hope your day is wonderful!

Both Otis and Jays remind......bokeh is nice, but secondary to peanuts! If you have peanuts, you have what you need!
Nice shooting and same to you Rupert, and all PF'ers! I have my peanut butter - does that count?
Some p&s bubble bokeh with the Fuji X10 from Christmas Eve at the park:

That shot is precious beyond words!

As the year is winding down, Otis posed this morning on the Cheater Branch and declared that "squirrels are the winners" in the 2015 Bokeh Awards. He says they beat out all those birds, flowers and other items posted here by a mile.....

As I look back at all the great shots in this thread, I can't honestly say I agree with Otis in the least....but I am also smart enough not to argue with him!

"Don't question my authority.....I am a world renown Art Critic, you know!"

Best Regards & Lookin' forward to all the great shots to be posted here in the coming year!

Pretty in pink...ish

So this is not good enough to beat squirrels...hmmm...I'll have to think about it more...hey I know what about little ones?

Look Daddy! I can touch the bokeh! C'mon Otis, let's see you do that.

Well it is not a squirrel but I had to photograph something on my walk yesterday. It was nice out I decided to take a little walk on Christmas afternoon with the K3 and 60-250.
f6.3 250mm

f4 wide open 250mm

f4 250mm

I can see that this lens is going to get a lot of use next year.

Both are Zeiss lenses actually, the first image is the Makro Planar T* 2/100, the second the Planar T* 1.4/85.

The metadata reads as an 'A lens', I assume as they're not autofocus but they do communicate aperture info.

How bad do you want it?

Sometimes you get a shot that is just not good.....bad light, bad focus, bad settings......bad everything. Still, you loved the pose and the bokeh.....so you work with the best corrections you have to make it work......

You still aren't there...but it would work for a card front.

Rainy day processing......it's something to do, and sometimes it works.....not today, but maybe next time?

Regards!

Nothing gained nothing lost Rupert, SD card space is cheap.

Another one wide open on the 60-250, 250mm f4.
