Love it 1952! Color shades are lovely too!

It's not his fault! He posed perfectly and his bokeh was fine...but I shot him at ISO 6400 and should have moved down a notch. He left angry, but he'll get over it!

This little girl demanded no higher than ISO 4000....had to handhold at 1/80 to do that, but it worked for her!

No squirrels so far today...they are still claiming unfairness, cheating, and "bokeh rigging".

Regards!
Thanks Rupert.

Even with the higher ISO's, those birdies look good!!

Thanks 1952! ...but try telling that to Mr Cardinal! He was all huffy about the noise in his little body!

Squirrels are still trying to hide out today.....with ugly bokeh like this, I don't blame them!

"Stop lookin' this way, I'm hidden, can't you tell?"

Regards!

I'm taking SC Componon 80mm as a walk-around lens for work so it's kinda growing on me. And It does give a nice smooth bokeh most of the time.

Though, bokeh is interestingly nervous when focusing at distant subjects. Well, distant for this lens.

Always love doggies!

This little girly Cardinal said she wasn't afraid of high ISO like her mate was, and said she could do 10,000 She did pretty good!

Raccoons aren't afraid of much of anything! ISO 12,800...but they still don't understand bokeh!

Regards!

Kiron 28-105mm f3.2-4.5. Picked this lens up for next to nothing the other day and I'm pleasantly surprised - nice and metal and heavy, already good wide open (as here) and very sharp stopped down to f8. Has some of that 3D feel to it that we all crave. Fringing is well controlled and when it does occur it's a rich, royal blue - I've never seen a fringing colour like it before!
Like many old zooms it has a close focus function, but unusually in this case it is at the wide end, meaning you really have to get up close and personal with your subject in order to get your shot. Focuses down to 1:4 though, which is pretty good for a lens of this type and certainly enough to isolate the average flower.

This photo was taken on the K-7, ISO 200, 105mm at f4.5
