Squirrels advised me not to post this because the bokeh was "sinfully poor"......but I kinda liked it?

I was informed yesterday that it really isn't just about bokeh, it is a "health issue" that should concern us the most. Those lovely bokeh birds are not healthy looking, which negates their fancy bokeh.

This little girly squirrel wanted to show us all how much better bokeh is with a "healthy" subject.......while birdies will be struggling to find food in the coming cold of winter, she will not need to eat a bite.....sleeping cozily in her warm nest until spring!

Nope...that little Mona Lisa grin is not a sign she is pregnant......it's a sign she saw me bringing out more corn!

Regards! .....and stay healthy!

DA*50-135 @ 135mm

This little birdy is not worried since the feeders are stocked year round.

Regardless of being "unhealthy"......according to the squirrels, I think the birds have better bokeh.

Bokeh by Rodenstock Splendar 2.8/100

Lens has been shortened, adapted to m42 and used with 19-35mm m42 helicoid adapter. Still no diaphragm installed.

I almost never shoot the Bigma wide open at f6.3. However sometimes sharpness is not everything.

I shoot my Bigma wide open at 6.3 very often....it's not too bad usually. Just moving up to 7.1 does make a difference, but not drastic.

Here is the Jpeg shot above done from the Raw.....@ 6.3

Squirrels continue in their quest to out-bokeh the birds.

This one doesn't cut it for me...not bad really, but certainly not "Bird-Class".

A committee of squirrels voted this one the best overall bokeh of 2016. They said it showed natural bokeh with a twist of plant life and wonderful colors. Personally, I found it sort of "corny".

At least they are trying......before they get too fat to pose, which might be any day now.

Regards!
