Another M28-50 shot, wide open at the long end again. Having bought this lens on a whim and neglected it for ages, I've discovered it's actually quite good. Wide open it's not that fast, but what's in focus is above average as far as sharpness is concerned, and the colours have that lovely Pentax pop to them. Handling is classic M series and despite not being that wide it makes a fun walk around lens on APS-C when you fancy having a manual day.

FA*300 f4.5, wide open. I think the distances involved and the FA rendering make for a 3D look.

it is a sweetheart of a lens - my only caveat is the MFD is a bit long; I find myself occasionally having to re-compose, but beyond that tiny issue....

also, if you are interested in the lens' starburst abilities, avoid the newer HD version, as the SMC version will produce sharper starbursts....

They argue a lot...but the bokeh is pretty good for a couple of worthless birds....as squirrels call them.

Terrific pics with the DA70, PepperberryFarm ... I have both it and the FA77, and it does well versus its much more credentialed older sibling.
