Love it! Read my reply in the K1 thread!

I posted this in the Squirrel Thread....(You guys need to post your squirrels there BTW!)

I am posting it here too where it gets more viewing.....hoping someone can help identify this guy?

"Can you guys help me? Not mental health help, that is not possible...but I have a squirrel question I can't answer?

This little guy showed up a few weeks ago. He is totally out of place here and though he looks like a Fox Squirrel, he is much more red, is of a more stocky and muscular build and is extremely active, not laid back and lazy like the rest of the squirrels are most of the time. He is not super aggressive and the other regular Army squirrels easily back him down in confrontations...even the young ones....(of course they are all trained in deadly paw to paw contact.)

Red, big and strong.....where did he come from? I have seen a few Kansas squirrels posted that look similar..is it possible that he hopped a freight train and came here for the plentiful feed? Are more on the way? Will there be a squirrel war? So many questions....???

You have any answers?"

Read more at: Got Squirrel Shots? - Page 90 - PentaxForums.com

Here he is....a total mystery to me? He did do some squirrel bokeh......same as most squirrels, nothing special!

Regards & Thanks!

Such wonderful shots....I barely noticed the bokeh due to the excellent subjects! The bees are perfect!!!

Here is my 6,000th K1 shot, and it too is remarkable!

So why is it remarkable? It is my 6,00th K1 shot...and it's not a damn squirrel!

Regards!

Thanks, Rupert!

6,000 shots, you say? Could it be that we've seen 5,999 squirrels already?

No horse, cow, sheep or goat outside here - Koma aka amoK still has to act as my model.

Nice shooting! You couldn't ask for a better model! I loves Doggies and Doggie shots! Yours is a handsome example!

Another one of this setting, a little front focussed, but with a whif of 3D pop (i think?) and a smiling model...

Rupert, that does look like a KS squirrel to me. Did you know about the black squirrels around Marysville, KS? You might consider a bokeh trip to try and document that whole situation.

I saw a Kansas squirrel that shade of red on a post a while back, so you could be very right. He is highly unusual here, none of my squirrels are anywhere close to his coloring. I'd love to have some black squirrels and those Carolina white squirrels too. I love them all!

Here is some genuine red! Not much bokeh here but the color of this Cardinal is spot-on! The K1 does the best job on reds of any Pentax I have owned. No correction needed here.....reds are hard to shoot, they blow out so easily. If you underexpose a little it helps ...a lot!

Regards & Thanks for your reply!

Male Cardinal.....he is so proud!
