Excellent use of the Helios on that 2nd one... that composition and lens were made for each other.

Interesting hexagons

After using the DA*55mm exclusively for a month while traveling, I have come to really love this lens. Yes it vignettes a bit wide open on FF but that's easy enough to deal with. The ability to use quick shift with it is for me one of its most important perks to get focus where and how I want. The biggest downside however is its MFD which does limit my close focus capabilities and is the only thing keeping me from feeling the same way about this lens on FF as I did with the DA 35mm Limited on APSc.

Some more from Gardens by the Bay...

Asahi Pentax Auto Takumar f/1.8 85mm

Sharpness is not on par with more recent lenses, but OOF rendition is really outstanding.
From the early seventies:

Found some bokeh in the yard

Pentax-A 1.4/50 on K3II wide open

.
Fancy that - you wander out into your own back garden and there's a big bunch of bokeh, just sitting there waiting to be captured!!

I had to go to a village in the north of Spain to find this bokeh. Canon EOS 300, Fuji 400H and both almost certainly the 50mm f/1.8 STM, close to wide open.
