schnitzer79: The DA15 did that?? Haven't seen that kind of bokeh effect with that lens before. Maybe I've not been using mine enough...

Well the photos look like they have some added clarity/contrast. But yes, UWA lenses can produce interesting bokeh if you shoot closeup subjects near wide open aperture You have to be really close though

Yes, I thought of that, how they look to have been taken at the minimum focusing distance of the lens. I guess I just never really mucked around with that lens like that.

Time to grab my close focusing filters and see what kind of headaches I can give myself.

Adding a very slim tube extender can help a lot, too, especially if the lens doesn't have an especially close nearest focus distance.

Yes, it really does wonders in any situation.It is ALWAYS in my camera bag.Shot at MFD, or close to it

Yep, I did raise the clarity and contrast quite a bit but it kinda works in this photo...at least I think it does

Oh yes, I like it! I'm just saying, in case someone shoots jpeg in Neutral setting, they won't get such stunning results. I do a lot of PP on my photos, I'm not against that. Just trying to be helpful
