Take a look
here. It's a list of roses best suited for Florida.
I have seen it...reminds a bit of a takumar. I don't know much about the new Nikon version but the "A" setting on the K mount Nokton is a huge perk in my book plus the design of it matches my other 2 Voigtlanders. BTW thanks for the link, looks like a handy resource to reference and I do have one pot of roses that so far are doing well but they are miniatures.
Originally posted by ivanvernon Could not locate GDA13 posting, but maybe ought to try roses from a supplier in Tyler, Texas, self-described rose capital of the world! Maybe they will be more adapted to southern growing conditions.
Its possible and I'll keep that in mind although Tyler looks a bit to the North up by Dallas so it might be a bit dryer climate. I will say I have seen a fairly impressive rose garden in Orlando (within Leu Gardens) which does have species that are suitable in the humidity down here plus its in a large open space that gets full sun and a good breeze which probably helps to dry them out from the daily rain showers we get this time of year. However when I lived in S. California it was pretty effortless to grow them.
Got a few more from my most recent but all too brief trip...various lenses and locations
A50mm/2.8 macro (I am very happy with this lens so much so I can offload that FA50mm/2.8 macro)
DFA 100mm/2.8 WR macro
Voigtlander 58mm/1.4 Nokton
