I was surprised with the bokeh from the DA 50-200 lens.

Riggomatic, agreed, it's great for this kind of thing. I bought it thinking I was going to test the waters of distance shots, telephoto whatever, and instead I'm taking pictures of a cat or flowers less than 5 feet away with it and coming away impressed with the results.

I really enjoy putting a cheap "+1" or "+4" close focus filter onto the front of the thing. Bokeh party on the cheap.
