Shot with a Meyer Trioplan f/2.9 50mm for Altix, converted to PK mount. A short extension tube was used.

Lovely tones! Great work

Back at you, taks! Consistently nice work from you as well. In fact, the quality level of images in this thread is so high, it's hard not to "like" them all.

The M 50 1.7 can have some nervous bokeh especially stopped down, but at least I don't find it distracting. The rendering makes up for it. And it's so sharp, you can crop easily. Here @f/2.8:

Macro lenses are hard to beat for bokeh. BTW: this was shot with an Oly 12-100mm f4, not a macro lens.

Which do you prefer bokeh wise out of these two shots. Chicken town Bokeh wide open with my FA 77 and at f5 with the same lens. Looking from the Chicken statue towards Main Street in Belfast, Maine.

The second (stopped down) one. The background is still smooth, but gives context without being as distracting in my opinion.
