thanks

I didn't have the shutter set for multiple " bursts " and I was just taking photos as quick as I could, the bee just decided to lift off as I triggered the shutter, it would have been right on the blossom which I caught in focus in the photo

I wasn't going to post it since you can't see the wings and the oof issues but I thought what the heck

technically it is the " bokeh " thread and there is nothing wrong with that part of the photo

experimenting with the new to me ' experienced ' lens I got on the 22nd.
It’s a beautiful shot. Those crazy bees don’t follow the rules.

that's funny considering how bees ( and other social insects ) do have specific roles aka rules

the queen lays eggs

the males fertilize the queen and die

and the worker bees - work

no other way

as I understand it

When I decided to back into photography and bought my first DSLR in Dec of 2015 that was the lens I bought to go with my K-50. I really should start using it more. It's a wonderful lens. LBA forced me to pick up some older manual lenses so lately it's been one of them or my 100mm Macro attached to my K-70.

for making me get my "experienced " copy

but mine is the smc DA 35mm F2.8 macro limited and he has the newer HD DA 35mm F2.8 macro limited

I also have the HD. Pretty windy right now and light is more than harsh but because of this conversation I'm thinking about putting the 35mm on and wandering about the yard a bit. Who knows what will happen?

That was one on my LBA list, but my K addiction made me buy the 30mm. Now I think I need the 31mm. Good thing my wallet is empty.

Well, found a perfectly round Dandelion seed head with a workable background. The light was getting better. Working on exposure when a gust of wind took half of my subject away. Between cuss words I hear Carol yell out "Time to crank up the BBQ." My time was short. HD DA 35mm Macro Ltd. Wide open.
