I walk over to the next building most days and take a few pictures of Amy's mobile. Today's picture has a weird three-dimensionality due to all the horizontal, vertical and diaganol lines - like the mobile is in a box. I know some people's goal is to render exactly what they see using a camera. Sometimes, mine is just to show the scene to the camera and see what kind of crazy thing it comes up with. The 55 SMC Takumar is especially good at showing me things my eye would never see.

Based on that shot I'd say it was worth it.

Here's a little deer bokeh with the 55-300 PLM @300/6.3.



And same deer with the Mamiya 55/1.8

Thanks. I was helping a friend at her wedding venue and this little doe has become somewhat of a fixture. She often photo bombs wedding pictures, much to the delight of the party.
